About the Farmer

Jonathan is graduate of the GoFarm Hawaii program and is making strides to the forefront, to revamp and revitalize the "grown, no flown" concept in Hawai'i. Jonathan created Okupu Farms to provide fresh produce to the local community and to collaborate with fellow local farmers to change the way our community gets food. Choosing to follow organic growing concepts and follow good agricultural practices, Okupu Farms will one day be one of the certified organic farms on O'ahu. Okupu means to sprout; or the make shoots, with that said, this farm hopes to foster growth in the way we produce, the quantity of food and the quality of food available on O'ahu.
